Hey Sara Kris here from DS.
I finally got a chance to visit your blog. I was reading about the article on Lactoferrin which sounds interesting. Are you taking it and if so how much and how is it working for you.
Last post I made I was in remission for 8 months. I have been taking all those supplements which I still do but that good old RA has figured a way around them. So a doozy of a flare hit my right knee. Back on prednisone which I just cant seem to get off of. Every time I decrease pain comes back worse. So Im thinking of maybe adding the lactoferrin. And maybe the serracor-NK. Where do you buy the lactoferrin? I saw the web site for the serracor. Thanks for the info.
Take care Kris
Hi Kris!
Thanks for visiting my blog! I am so sorry to hear that your knee is bothering you again. Is it just your knee? What supplements are you taking?
Lactoferrin can be found in any whey product. You can buy whey from just about anywhere…..Trader Joe’s, supplement stores, Biomediclabs, etc. Personally, I bought mine from Prohealth online. A portion of the fees goes to research and I find their website easy to use, as well as they have an automatic shipment available and you get a discount if you do this. You can choose how often you want the automatic shipment….say another shipment 6 months from now or 10 days from now. You can also cancel at anytime. I have contacted them via email and they were able to get back to me within a day. So the service was great also. I will always promote to a certain degree companies that I think are run in a positive way…there just isn’t enough of them. I consider Biomediclabs and Prohealth my top two favorite online stores in terms of quality, service, and price. I have bought from many many online stores and tried lots of products, so I feel like I have some experience here.
I’m out of Lactoferrin at the moment. I have not noticed yet a significant difference. I may up the dose once I get more. The thing about supplements is you need to be consistent and really give them a good shot. Lactoferrin has enough studies that I’m confident that whether it’s doing anything for me or not, I’m going to keep on taking it because I believe from the studies it has to be great for me. And it’s not very expensive. I have a lot of intestinal problems along with skin diseases and I have my RA. The products I use have to be very powerful in order to work. I have not been on lactoferrin long enough to really know. I’m also trying other products that are suppose to work. Moducare and Zyflammend are two of those products. Like I said, I’m going to keep on taking them. I read studies that show that they work, so I’m just crossing my fingers that eventually they will. If, four months from now I haven’t noticed a difference, I’ll probably move on to try something else. That’s just how I do supplements.
If you want something that will in no doubt help and possibly cure your RA, Serracor-NK is the way to go. It is by far the most powerful supplement I’ve ever tried. It’s worked better for me than DMARDS, and being on it long term, it’s helped me way more than being on prednisone long term. This stuff really works. You have to take 5 pills 3 times a day……but you have to detox in the first 14 days….meaning you have to take less pills at first. I think in the first 14 days, it’s 3 pills three times a day. I’m not positive though, so call Biomediclabs and ask. I am completely positive that if you went on this alone, you could give up all supplements and feel next to normal again. My RA is VERY severe and I have other autoimmune diseases going on, so, like I said, a supplement has to be very powerful in order for it to work. I am not in remission, but Serracor-NK has brought me close. As far as taking other supplements are concerned, it’s hard to say….you’ll have to get back to me on that. How much Lactoferrin? That I’m not sure either. I think it depends on the body and what’s going on. Lactoferrin seems to be only beneficial so I’m going to take more pills and see if that works. If I find the right dose, I’ll let you know!
Thanks again for stopping by and keep us posted!!
all the best,
Sarah
